Description
Hendre is a tall two-bay building that runs east to west, featuring a low single-storey extension to the west and a two-storey twin gable extension to the south. There are also lean-to extensions at the west and south corners. The main structure has low eaves that are partly hidden by the later southern extension. It is constructed of rubble masonry with some sections of boarding. The roofs are covered with restored slate, and there is slate hanging at the edges. The chimney stack on the east side of the main range has been cut down just above the roof, and there is another truncated brick chimney at the southwest corner of the southern extension.
The building retains its door and window openings, although some have been walled up and rendered, while others are fitted with louvres. The interior has not been inspected, but it is reported that the main range features a two-bay cruck structure with a large hearth still present at the east gable end.
