Description

This building, formerly known as Shoppers Paradise, is located at 181 High Street in Ongar. It is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The structure is built of grey gault brick and features a hipped roof covered with grey slate and projecting eaves. It stands three storeys tall and has a five-window range of small paned, double hung sash windows, each with gauged brick arches. There is a central band, and the central window on the first floor is adorned with stone scroll brackets, foliate stops, and a moulded canopy. The ground floor has a plain fascia and a 20th-century shopfront.
