Description
This building is an outbuilding, now functioning as a shop, located at the rear of number 171 on Ongar High Street. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and features a timber frame with 19th-century weatherboard cladding and a red plain tiled roof. The structure is two storeys high and has one casement window on the first floor, along with a 20th-century door. It is included for its group value with number 171 and another outbuilding in George Yard. It may also be mentioned in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments volume 6.
