Description
Number 2 with outbuilding at the rear is an 18th-century building located on the east side of High Street. It is constructed of brick and has a colour-washed ground floor. The building features a tiled roof with gabled ends and stands three storeys tall, including a cellar. There are three sash windows with glazing bars, each topped with voussoirs. The Victorian shop front includes square bays, a fascia, and a cornice. At the rear, there is a timber-framed outbuilding dating from the 17th century, which has brick nogging and a corrugated asbestos roof with gable ends, and it is two storeys high. This market house, along with the other listed buildings on the east side of High Street, forms a cohesive group.
