Description

This is a group of three shops dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The buildings are timber-framed and have been rendered with an ashlar pattern. They have red plain tiled roofs with projecting eaves and a moulded cornice. The shops are two storeys high, with a three-window front. The upper windows are 19th-century small-paned sash windows, with sidelights to the first floor. On the ground floor, the shop to the left has a 20th-century plain window and a half-glazed door. To the right, under a plain 20th-century fascia, are two 20th-century shop doors and windows. The door to number 176 is recessed. A red brick chimney stack is present on the left, and a stopped external red brick stack is on the right.
