Description

St Martins Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on the east side of Ongar High Street, near Church Approach. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a red pantile roof. The cottage has two storeys and features a two-window range of small paned vertical sliding sashes, with shutters on the first floor. There is an enclosed, gabled porch with red tiles, side lights, and a 19th or 20th-century door. An off-centre red brick chimney stack adds to its charm. The cottage is picturesque and holds good group value with the nearby Church and its surroundings.
