Description

No. 8 Meldreth Road is a cottage built around 1660. It features a timber frame with plaster rendering and a long straw thatch roof, which is half-hipped. The cottage has a red brick axial ridge stack, with the upper courses rebuilt. It has a two-bay layout with a lobby entry and consists of one storey and an attic. There are two dormers and two horizontal sliding sash windows on either side of the doorway. The property is noted on the 1764 Estate Map at the Cambridgeshire Record Office.
