Description

The barns at Number 10 Rose Cottage are two structures dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The larger barn is a threshing barn with four bays, constructed with a timber frame that is partly weatherboarded and partly rendered with plaster. It features a thatched, half-hipped roof. Attached to the south side is a single-storey barn, also from the late 18th century or early 19th century, which has rendered walls and a thatched roof. Inside the threshing barn, there is an aisle on the north side. An Enclosure Award Map from 1823 is referenced for historical context.
