The roof is made of long straw thatch and features a half-hipped design, with a timber-framed chimney stack that has brick upper courses. The cottage consists of three bays and is one storey high with an attic. There is one dormer on the north side and four modern leaded light windows. Inside, the layout includes three bays and a narrow chimney bay, with abutting inglenook hearths made from reused brickwork.
