Description

No. 73 High Street is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is plaster rendered, topped with a half-hipped thatched roof made of long straw. The cottage features a ridge stack made of gault brick. The layout consists of three bays with a lobby entry, although it has likely been subdivided in the 19th century. The gable end faces the road, and the building is one storey high with attics. It includes two dormers and three windows, which feature flush frame horizontal sliding sashes with small panes. There are three doorways: one is an early 19th-century design with bead and quirk panelling, while the others are boarded.
