Description
The Plough Public House is a row of cottages that likely dates from the late 17th century, with 19th century alterations and a 20th century addition on the side. It features a steeply pitched roof, now covered with slate, and has three ridge stacks—one made of original red brick and the other two are either from the 19th century or partly rebuilt. The gable end faces the road and resembles other cottages in the village. The cottage closest to the road has a lobby-entry plan and is two storeys high. There are four small casement windows on the first floor, and the doorway is located opposite the stack. Inside, the ground floor has some exposed beams that are generally slender and typical of the late 17th century.
