Description

No. 12 High Street is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It features a timber frame that is plaster rendered, with a long straw thatched roof that has a half hipped design and a rebuilt ridge stack made of red brick. The cottage has a lobby entry plan and consists of one storey with an attic, including one gable dormer. There are three windows, one of which is a horizontal sliding sash. The doorway leads to the lobby entry. At the northeast end, there is a single-storey addition that may have served as a shop, constructed from brick, painted, and covered with pantiles.
