Description

No. 18 High Street is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling, dating from the early 19th century. The building features a timber frame set on a rendered brick base, topped with a long straw thatch roof and a gault brick chimney at one end. It stands two storeys high and has two 20th-century windows on each floor. The original doorways have been blocked, and access is now through a side entrance. Inside, the cottage retains exposed framing and small gault brick hearths with segmental arches.
