Description

This is a late 17th-century cottage located on the south side of Barrington High Street. The building was renovated at a later date. It is timber-framed, with rendered walls and a long, half-hipped straw-thatch roof. An original red brick ridge stack is present. The original layout was likely a lobby-entry plan, but now includes a doorway on the side. The cottage has one storey and an attic, featuring three dormers and three windows with modern leaded lights. Inside, the inglework hearths have been rebuilt, and late 17th-century wall and floor framing is exposed.
