Description
Genesis House is a house from the late 18th century located on the west side of George Street in Woburn. It is constructed of red brick laid in header bond, with vitrified headers and red brick window dressings. The building features a tiled roof and is a rectangular block of two storeys and attics. The symmetrical facade has five windows, all of which are sashes with glazing bars. The ground and first floor windows have gauged brick flat arches, while the attic windows are set within two box dormers. The central doorway consists of a six-panel door topped by a semi-circular fanlight with ornamental radiating glazing bars, and it is set in shallow reveals. This doorway is flanked by Doric pilasters that support an open pediment. The house has red brick gable end stacks, with one being integral to the left side and the other external to the right side.
