Description
Nos 18 and 20 Caunsall Road are houses dating from the 17th century, with some alterations from the late 19th and late 20th centuries. They feature a timber-frame construction with painted brick and rendered infill, topped by a tiled roof. The buildings are arranged in three framed bays aligned northeast to southwest, with a gable-end stack on the north side that has a rubble base and a brick shaft. The houses are two storeys high, with an attic that is illuminated by three framed and gabled dormers, along with four 20th-century casement windows. Each house has an entrance at the corner, accessed by a 20th-century door. The framing consists of four square panels high, supported by straight tension braces.
