Description

The Kinver War Memorial is a tall granite structure located on Kinver Edge, approximately 800 meters southwest of the center of Kinver village. It is designed in the form of an obelisk with a square base that rises from a pedestal, which is set on a stone step. The front face of the pedestal features a small drinking fountain, and above the water bowl is the main dedicatory inscription that reads, "IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF/ KINVER WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1919." The names of those who fell in the First World War are listed on the sides of the pedestal. On the front face of the obelisk, there is an inscription that states "WORLD WAR/ 1939 – 1945/ (19 NAMES)."
