Description
Austcliff Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, with some extensions added in the mid-19th century. It features a timber-frame construction with brick and rendered infill. The building has two storeys and includes three gabled dormers that light the attic. There are two windows with 3-light casements and a central entrance that has a ledged and boarded door. The framing displays jettied tie-beams at the gable ends and in the two left-hand corners, along with extensive herringbone framing within square panels. As of December 1985, the framing had recently been revealed by the removal of stucco covering.
