Description

The building is a dovecote located about 15 metres west of Drayton House, dating from the early 18th century and remodelled around 1940. It is constructed of brick and features a pyramidal tile roof topped with a glover. The dovecote has two storeys and a band at the ground floor. The south-east front has one window with a fixed casement. The entrance includes a rubbed brick head and a glazed door. The glover is capped by a wrought iron weathervane, which is pierced and inscribed with "H/ FD/ 1940". This structure is included for its group value.
