Description
Grove Farmhouse is a house, now converted into flats, dating from the mid-18th century with some late 20th-century alterations and additions. The building is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof. It stands two storeys tall with an attic that is illuminated by three 20th-century gabled dormers. The façade includes painted stone quoins and a modillioned cornice. There are five windows arranged in a pattern of two plus one plus two, featuring 4-pane sashes set beneath slightly cambered heads with fluted keystones. The central entrance on the ground floor is framed by a pedimented and pilastered stone doorcase, which includes a fanlight and a 20th-century panelled door. Additionally, there is a 20th-century extension at the rear.
