Description
Nos 20 and 21 on Lax Lane are three houses that have been combined into two, dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The buildings are constructed of brick and feature a tile roof. They are one storey high with an attic, which is illuminated by three gabled dormers. A dentilled brick cornice runs along the top. There are four windows, all of which are 20th-century sashes of various sizes; the left window has a flat head, while the others have segmental heads. The entrance to no 20 is located at the left corner, and the entrance to no 21 is to the left of the right-hand window. Both entrances have wooden architraves, 20th-century gabled wooden canopies supported by wooden brackets, and 20th-century ledged and boarded doors. The buildings are included for their group value.
