Description

Fairfield Terrace comprises six houses dating from the early 19th century, with some alterations in the late 20th century. The houses are built of brick with a slate roof and ridge stacks. They feature a symmetrical arrangement of two windows, two windows, two windows, with the central section projecting forward and topped by a pediment and a dog tooth cornice. A blind circular window is set in the pediment. The windows are 20th-century boxed sashes with stone sills. A central open passage allows access to the houses on either side, with entrances to number 14 on the left and number 15 on the right. These entrances have wooden architraves, segmental heads, and 20th-century six-panel doors. A single 20th-century sash window is located next to each entrance. The left-hand side of the terrace features an entrance to number 12, a sash window, an entrance to number 13, and another sash window. The right-hand side has two entrances centrally placed for numbers 16 and 17, flanked by two sash windows. All entrances share similar details.
