Description

This is a house, likely dating from the 16th century, which was significantly altered in the mid-18th century with further changes in the early 19th century, and some late 20th-century restoration work. The timber-frame structure is now clad in painted brick, with a tile roof. The building is one storey high with an attic space, which is lit by two gabled dormers. There is a dentilled brick cornice along the top of the wall. The ground floor has a three-light casement window under a flat timber lintel. To the left of this window is a blocked entrance with a segmental arch, and to the left corner, a blocked window also with a segmental arch. The current entrance is located in the right corner, featuring a wooden architrave, and a 20th-century half-glazed dormer window. Some of the original timber framing is visible in the south-east gable, which appears to be of 16th-century construction.
