Description
No 42A on High Street is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations from the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and has a tile roof. It stands two storeys high and features a dentilled brick cornice. The left section is slightly recessed and has one plus two windows: the left window is a 20th-century timber cross-window with a concrete lintel, while the two windows on the right are 18th-century timber cross-windows with cambered heads and rectangular leaded lights. On the ground floor, there are two timber cross-windows, and to the left side, there is an entrance to a passage with a semi-circular head, stone impost blocks, and a door with six flush panels. This building is attached to no 42 on the left and faces into Park Alley.
