Description

Number 26 is a late 18th-century house, later altered in the mid-19th century and again in the mid-20th century, and now divided into three flats. The exterior is stuccoed brick resting on a sandstone plinth and has a tile roof with gable-end stacks. The building is two storeys high, featuring a moulded cornice to the parapet and originally four windows; two have boxed glazing bar sashes on the left side, and two are blind on the right. On the ground floor, the windows are similarly glazing bar sashes, with one window on the right side being blind. The roughly central entrance has a fluted wooden doorcase with panelled reveals, a moulded cornice, and a six-panel door. A wrought iron railing with simple, spearheaded bars runs along the front of the property.
