Description
Two houses dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations in the late 20th century. The houses are built of brick with a tile roof, a rendered plinth, and stacks to the rear. They are two storeys high with cellars, and have an attic space lit by two gabled dormers. A dog tooth brick cornice runs along the top, and the roof has brick coped verges. The front has three windows, which are 3-light casements with wood imitation wedge lintels. The ground floor also has three similar windows. The entrance to number 46, located at the left-hand corner, is approached by three stone steps and features a flat canopy, a wooden architrave, a blind overlight of two panels, and a 20th-century door made of two raised and fielded panels. The entrance to number 47, which sits between two windows to the right, is also approached by three stone steps and has a flat wooden canopy supported on two metal struts, a blind overlight of two panels, and a 2-panelled door with a glazed upper panel. An alleyway runs along the right-hand side, entered under a semi-circular arch.
