Description

This building is a barn and stables located about 50 metres west of Walnut Tree Cottage. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and has had some alterations in the 20th century. The structure features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and sits on a sandstone ashlar plinth, topped with a tile roof. The barn consists of four framed bays aligned north to south, with approximately seven bays of the former cow house to the north. The barn is lofted and has two loft doors. The cow house was originally open-fronted but is now boarded and includes three stable entrances and three windows. This building is included for its group value.
