Description
Piper's Hill Farmhouse, along with its railings and front wall, is an early 18th-century farmhouse that was remodeled in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a machine tile roof with a gable end stack on the right. The building has two storeys and an attic, which is illuminated by three gabled dormers. A dentilled brick cornice runs along the top.
The facade includes three windows with segmental-headed flush framed glazing bar sashes; the outer windows are 16-pane, while the central window has an eared architrave. On the ground floor, there are two 16-pane flush framed sashes flanking a central entrance. Above the entrance is a flat canopy with a moulded cornice and a segmental pediment. The door is flanked by 6-pane fixed casements and features a Gothick glazed fanlight above a 6-panelled door.
The wrought iron railings are designed in the Gothick style and are set on a low brick wall, with a gate to the right supported by cast iron piers from the early 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
