Description
The Old Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill and a machine tile roof. The structure consists of three framed bays oriented east to west, with an additional brick bay at the west end. A chimney stack is located north of the central bay of the timber section. The cottage is two storeys tall and has irregular window placements. On the upper floor, there are three windows, with the left two having three lights and the right one having two lights, all dating from the 19th century. The ground floor has five windows, mostly 20th-century casements, including a square bay on the left. There is a roughly central large lean-to porch from the 20th century, with a glazed door to the right. The framing consists of three square panels high, with straight angle braces.
