Description
Elms Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with an early 19th-century extension and some late 20th-century alterations. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill, which has been extended in painted brick. The building consists of two framed bays aligned in a north-east to south-west direction, with a timber outshut and a 19th-century wing on the north-west side, as well as a lateral stack.
The street front, facing north-east, has a gable that rises two storeys and includes one window, which is a 4-light casement. To the left of this window, there is an entrance featuring a wooden architrave and a half-glazed door. To the right, there is a single-storey range with a 2-light casement under a segmental head and an entrance towards the left. The framing includes a tie-beam that jetties out at both gables, with the wall consisting of three square panels high to the first floor.
