Description

Rowhouse Farmhouse is a timber-frame farmhouse, likely dating to the 17th century, with extensions added in the late 18th century and some alterations in the mid-20th century. It is constructed with timber framing and painted brick infill, with a tile roof. The original section probably comprises three framed bays aligned north-west/south-east, and it is adjoined to the south-west by an 18th-century wing with a half-hipped roof and a blind front. The south-east front features a timber-frame gable end to the right; the 18th-century extension to the left is blind. The main range is two storeys high and has two windows, one a two-light casement and the other a single-light casement. An entrance is located on the left-hand return front, which also features windows with wedge lintels and keystones. The timber framing is arranged in three square panels in height. The gable truss features three struts to the collar, with V-struts above.
