Description
Canal bridge number 49, located between lock numbers 30 and 31 on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal, was built around 1805 and has undergone some repairs in the late 19th century and mid-20th century. The bridge is constructed of brick and features stone copings. It has a semi-elliptical arch with a band above, and a plain stone-coped parapet. There is a pilaster at each end of the bridge. The responds have been partially repaired with blue brick, as has the parapet. A metal plate displaying the number 49 in relief is located on the east side of the bridge.
