Description

The property is a farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century, with extensions added in the mid-18th century and early 19th century. Later alterations occurred in the mid-20th century. The exterior is primarily sandstone ashlar, with some brick extensions. The north front has two storeys, with an early 18th-century extension to the left and a 17th-century section to the right, featuring a gabled wing roughly central. It has three windows, which are 3-light casements. The entrance, slightly to the right of centre on the ground floor, has a fluted wooden doorcase with paterae in the corners, topped by a canopy with a swept roof supported on a trellis. A stack to the right of the gable has four engaged diamond shafts. Inside, a large inglenook fireplace is found in the right-hand room of the north front.
