Description

Meadow Cottage and Meadows Farmhouse are a timber-frame farmhouse, now divided into two houses, dating back to the 17th century with early 18th-century and some mid-20th century alterations. The building has brick infill and a machine-tile roof. It is arranged in a T-shape, with a cross-wing aligned north-west/south-east, and a long range extending to the south-west. A central stack is located in the cross-wing, and another lateral stack is on the other range.

The front, facing the garden (north-west), shows the two-storey cross-wing to the left, featuring four 2-light casement windows. To the right is a single-storey range with an attic lit by two hipped dormers on the left and a two-storey section with five single-light casement windows. The ground floor of this section has three windows, mostly 4-light casements. An entrance, with a glazed door under a catslide roof, is located in the angle between the ranges. The timber framing is arranged in four square panels with straight angle braces. The gable of the cross-wing has a collar with three struts below and two curved raked struts above.
