Description

Kidnall Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid 18th century to the early 19th century. It has been altered and added to over time. The building is constructed of painted brick and features a slate roof with a tile ridge and brick stacks. It has a T-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall with attics, along with a lower two-storey wing extending to the rear.

The current entrance front, which may have originally been the rear, features a central doorway with symmetrical stacks on either side that project from the facade. The windows are near flush sashes with glazing bars set in moulded cases. To the left of the door on the ground floor, there is a window with an arched head, while a central window is located on the first floor. There is also a recent ground floor window to the right of the door and an added porch.

On the right-hand gable, there is a bay window, and the first floor has recessed sashes with glazing bars, one of which is blind, along with attic casements. The gable features pyramidal topped, moulded finials. The later rear wing includes three windows, which are three-light timber casements with Gothic heads, positioned below arched brick heads on the ground floor.

Inside, the farmhouse contains six-panel doors and broad oak floorboards, as well as ledge and batten doors leading to the rear wing.
