Description
Broomhill is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 18th century and was remodeled in the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof, featuring a brick ridge stack and a brick gable end stack. The building has a brick dentil eaves cornice and stands two storeys high with garrets. The south elevation has three bays and an off-centre 20th-century gabled porch with an open front and a half-glazed door. To the left of the porch is a segment-headed three-light casement window, with two similar windows to the right and three more above. There is a single-storey bay to the left that contains a similar two-light window.
On the north elevation, the ground floor features a three-light and a two-light wooden casement window, both under segment heads, along with a 20th-century window with a concrete lintel. Above, there are three two-light windows under segment heads. The interior has a three-room plan with a broad corridor along the north side. It includes a large chimney breast with inglenooks in two of the rooms and a triple purlin roof.
