Description

This barn, located about 25 metres south of Rush Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and has undergone some alterations in the mid-20th century. It features a timber-frame structure set on a sandstone plinth, with parts weatherboarded and some brick infill. The roof is half-hipped and covered with tiles. The barn is organized into three framed bays that run north to south, with a central threshing floor. The framing consists of four square panels in height with straight tension braces. The intermediate trusses include two raking struts and a collar, while the gables are supported by three struts leading to the collar.
