Description

SP 1037 BROADWAY CP HIGH STREET (north side) 9/58 Milestone adjoining No 122 (Milestone House Hotel) GV II Milestone. Late C18, restored 1953. Limestone. Of rectangular plan, tapering to a rounded top. Face inscribed: "To London 90 Miles. Morton 8. Stow 10. Worcester 21. Evesham 6". A plate records that the milestone was defaced under the defence regulations of 1939 and was restored in 1953.
