Description

The milestone outside No 3 Milestone Cottages dates from the 18th century but was adjusted and turned in the 19th century. It features a flat face oriented towards the road, with Roman lettering indicating distances: "London 17, Hounslow 7, Maidenhead 9", along with a benchmark. The portion that has been cut away is turned towards the wall.
