Description

Milestone dating from the late 18th century. It is made of white painted stone with black lettering. The milestone has an angled square shape with a weathered top and one corner faceted for the inscription. The inscriptions indicate distances: to the north is "LONDON 22", to the east is "MAIDENHEAD 4", and to the west is "SLOUGH 1".
