Description

Milestone dating from the late 18th century. It is made of white painted stone with black lettering. The milestone has an angled square plan with a weathered top and one corner faceted for the inscription. The inscriptions read: to the north, "LONDON 23"; to the east, "MAIDENHEAD 3"; and to the west, "SLOUGH 2".
