Description

This milestone, located on the north side of Hungerford Bath Road, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of stone, featuring a square base and a triangular section top. The milestone is inscribed with the distances to Newbury (9 miles), Marlborough (10 miles), and London (65 miles).
