Description
This is a mid-18th century house on the north side of High Street in Broadway. It is constructed of limestone rubble with a tile roof. The house is one storey with an attic and has a gable facing the street, with a window on each floor, featuring plain reveals and a keyed lintel. The gable is coped and has a chimney. The east wall, facing an alley, has a 20th-century round window with a plain stone surround on the left. The right-hand side of the wall is rendered and includes a bay window on a stone base, a gabled dormer, and a door at the right, sheltered by a tiled canopy. Inside, the two southern rooms have exposed hardwood ceiling joists, which are unchamfered. A photograph from around 1906 shows the house with a thatched roof.
