Description
This is a barn located about 50 yards south-east of Sinton Farmhouse, built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and has a plain tiled roof. The barn features six bays, including wagon bays with opposed cart entries that have cambered headed archways in the second and fourth bays from the east gable end. The walls next to the wagon bays and at the east gable end display courses of alternate header ventilation patterns. The west end bay, which faces the road, has a low archway with a cambered head and two 2-light casements above, also with cambered heads. At the west gable end, there is a flight of brick and sandstone steps leading to a ledged and battened door with a cambered head. Above this door, there is a blue brick diaper in the apex, along with an owl hole. Inside, the roof features a board ridge, a double row of trenched purlins, and truncated collar-and-tie-beam trusses with queen struts.
