Description
This is a barn dating from the late 18th century, located to the south of Bank Farm Cottages in Shrewsbury. It is constructed of brick and has a plain tiled roof. The barn is single-storey with an inserted upper floor and dormer windows in the roof. It is divided into three main sections by full-height entries, with the left entry possibly serving as a cart entry and the central bay likely having been a former threshing floor, which is now partly infilled. The barn features inserted casement windows with single ring cambered heads and three doorways in the right-hand section, one of which may be original. There is a series of cruciform vents below the eaves in the principal sections on either side of the possible threshing floor. The gables are crow-stepped and coped, with a loft loading door and cruciform vents in the left gable wall.
