Description
The building comprises two former stable ranges, now converted into dwellings, dating from the late 18th century. Constructed of brick with plain tile roofs, the main stable range is a single storey structure with gabled dormers. It originally contained six units, featuring doorways and two-light casement windows, all with single ring cambered heads. The building has dentilled eaves. To the right of the main range is a slightly higher section. A lintel originally spanned the lower storey, but this has been infilled with a central door and two flanking windows. A loading door, formerly with a gabled dormer above, is now a window. A rear wing of this block forms No. 1 Bank Farm Cottages. The front wall of this cottage range is of late 20th-century construction, featuring casement windows and a dormer. However, the rear wall dates from the 18th century, and contains a blocked doorway with a single ring cambered head.
