Description

Pear Tree Barn is a mid-18th century barn constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof. It features six bays, including a wagon bay located third from the east end, which has opposing cart entries with cambered heads and inserted double doors. The barn has header ventilation courses throughout and a dentilled eaves cornice. On the east elevation, there are external steps leading to a loft door with a cambered head to the left of the wagon bay, and to the right, there is a stable door with a cambered head and a small square loft door above. The gable ends have attic lights. Although the interior has not been inspected, this large barn is noted for its strong group value with Hall Farmhouse and is prominently situated on the west side of the village.
