Description

Hall Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse, later altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof and end stacks. The house is two storeys and has an attic, distinguished by a dentilled eaves cornice. Originally, it comprised three bays, with the ground floor housing a 3-light casement window and two 2-light casements, one of which replaces a former central doorway. All ground floor windows have cambered heads. The first floor features a 2-light and a 3-light casement window, while an attic window is found in the right gable end. A single-bay addition with a hipped roof adjoins the left gable, set back and slightly lower than the main front elevation. This addition features a ground floor cross-casement and a first floor 3-light casement, both with cambered heads, as well as a hipped dormer with a 2-light casement on its left side. The interior remains unexamined. A substantial wing extends to the rear right, and the present main entrance is located in an angle, sheltered by a lean-to porch supported by shaped brackets and with a 20th-century door. The farmhouse overlooks the south-west side of the churchyard.
