Description

This barn, located about 15 metres north of Lake Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It features a timber-frame construction, is weatherboarded, and has a tiled roof. The barn is composed of five framed bays arranged in an east/west orientation. The three eastern bays serve as a threshing barn with a central threshing floor, while the two western bays are used for stabling, which includes a loft above. The framing consists of single rectangular panels with straight tension braces in the threshing barn, and three square panels with straight tension braces in the stable walls. The intermediate trusses are supported by four raking struts, and the gables feature queen struts supporting the collar.
