Description
This is a barn and adjoining stable located about 50 yards south of Green Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. The structure is made of brick and features a cogged eaves cornice and plain tiled roofs. The barn has three bays, with a central wagon bay that includes opposed cart entries with cambered heads and double doors. The brickwork displays diaper ventilation patterns, and there are owl holes at the gable ends. The stable is attached to the north gable end of the barn, consisting of a single bay with two levels, which includes a hayloft in the upper level. All openings in the stable have cambered heads, with a stable door and window on the west front elevation and a loft door on the north gable end. The interior is not available for inspection. This building is included as one of the ancillary structures that are contemporary with Green Farmhouse.
